Lesson 4: Using the Title Tool

The Title tool can be used to add Titles and other Text on top of our Video. Go to the Top Left of OpenShot, and look for Title. The first option under Title should be Title. Clicking on this should open the Title Window

The Title Window contains main different Templates, which come in two types: Solid, and Translucent. Any Title with a black background will be Translucent, and not cover the video. Solid backgrounds will cover and block the video.

The first field is the File Name. This is the name the Title will have inside of the Project Files section. Line 1 Represents the first line of text available in the Title, and Line 2 the second. Some titles may have additional lines. The Font and Text color can be changed at will, but do not change the Background Color

After Clicking ‘Save’, the title should appear inside of the Project Files section.
