Step 2: Looking at Which Costumes to Use

Goal:

In this step, we will take some time to get familiar with the costumes menu in Scratch.

Let’s take a look at the Sharky costumes we have available, and more importantly their indexes (costume numbers).

In the next few steps, we will use the indexes in our code to change the way the shark looks.

Get familiar with how to navigate Scratch to look at the shark’s costumes!

Steps:

1. Still on the Sharky sprite, look at the top left of the screen where there are tabs that say “Code”, “Costumes”, and “Sounds”.
2. Click on “Costumes” for the “Sharky” sprite.
3. Look at the different Shark Costumes and their indexes.
